"Hired killers"

Janeane refers to the contractors in Iraq not just as "mercenaries," but as "hired killers."

Dictionary.com defines "mercenary" as: "1) One who serves or works merely for monetary gain; a hireling. 2) A professional soldier hired for service in a foreign army."

This page explains the difference between contractors and mercenaries.

P.S. Please let Dianne Lieblich's advertising budget run out soon. I'm really really tired of her voice.

C'mon, 'contractors' are the guys who remodel your kitchen. These guys were mercs.

You really believe they hired 3 SEAL's and a Bronze Star in Afghanistan, give them automatic weapons, just so they can ride around like the Wal-Mart 'Security' SUV?

It's kind of an insult to the SEAL's, really.

And then, 8 of these Blackwell contractors were able to repulse "hundreds" of Iraqi's? And summon an armed helicopter to assist them by the way?

Don't piss on my head and tell me it's rainin', boy.

Hey dumbass...

Mercenary is defined as: a person hired to fight for another country than their own.

What's wrong with someone putting themselves in danger for some good money??? I've been a contractor in Bosnia for 7 years, am I a mercenary???

Maybe these guys wanted to make some bucks, get ahead and go home. Nothing wrong with that.

For another thing the company is Blackwater, get your facts straight next time.

Im a contractor in Iraq. and I think if people really thought we were the hearless killers they make us out to be then they wouldnt run there mouthes about us so much. I mean if we are so heartless and lethal why would you risk your life opening your mouth about us. You contradict yourself...
