KXXT is an Air America affiliate in Phoenix, and they seem to have found the perfect recipe for success as an AAR affiliate: keep the AAR name, and ditch the AAR shows.
Their website is certainly one of the worst I've ever seen, complete with scrolling banners and the like. And, it doesn't seem to have been updated recently because it still shows them broadcasting the full AAR lineup.
Now, see "Doctor passing test as talk-show host, earns 2-hour slot at KXXT". They've turned over their 7-9pm weekdays slot to a relative newcomer to radio, "Dr. Mike" Newcomb. And, Charles Goyette does 7-10am weekdays. Now, all they need to do is replace the national loons with local loons in the other key slots, and they'll be all set for ratings success.
