Nothing to see here, move along

Drudge describes Air America's latest attempt at publicity: a "humorous" skit involving gun shots and a guy with a fake American accent talking about social security.

I believe nothing will happen concerning this for at least two reasons: it will be determined that there is no credible threat, and only "liberals" can do the sustained outrage bit.

If everything was reversed, you could expect 24/7 coverage from the major networks, 100,000 word pieces about this in the NYT, the mass signing of petitions, boycotts, protests, marches, T-shirts, ad infinitum. But, since the target is (putatively) conservative, expect this issue to be over with this week.

UPDATE: On today's show, she apologized for any misunderstanding.

She also taunted Drudge with "come out, come out wherever you are". Gay-baiting someone who says he's straight and was almost married?

In today's visual news, Randi says she doesn't have a computer at home and she was on the pot when she heard the news over the phone.

Also: "I'm so non-violent it's unbelievable"

She blames the segment on New York: it was written and put together in NYC. However, she takes full respon for items that appear on her show. She claims she only heard the end of the bit and she says that the bit was not funny from what she heard.

Now she wants to know who told drudge about the investigation.
