Al Franken gets a big wet one from Al Guardian

Al-Guardian offers us "The truth about lies", all about Al Franken and Air America.

It's a pretty standard fawning piece, quite similar to all the other fawning pieces that have appeared in U.S. papers. It mentions Franken wins "World Achievement Award for Breakthrough Radio", AAR's opposition to the Fairness Doctrine being revoked, his outsourcing of his recent book to Harvard grad students, and on and on. If anything, I'm bummed out about this article because this guy basically wrote what I would have written about it.

The al-Guardian piece includes this Franken quote:

"These people [the VRWC] need to be subjected to scorn and ridicule. Someone has got to be willing to get down in the weeds and fight them."

Then, it ends with:

He reveals his next book is called The Truth (with jokes). "It's not about the media this time. It's about whatsisname? George Bush."

From bloggers to pundits, his enemies are no doubt poised to respond. And when they do, Franken will be down in the weeds, waiting for them.

Bring it on, talkboy.
