Air America sinks in Lake Tahoe

As pointed out in comments, one of Air America's outlets seems to have gone missing. A few days ago their banner said they had 67 stations; today it says 66. A quick comparison of the current page with the cache shows the station that's been deleted: South Lake Tahoe, NV - KTHO-AM 590 AM. Probably not a big loss, since that station doesn't appear to even have its own website. Nevertheless, we shall investigate and report... Developing...

UPDATE: The local paper weighs in on this new AAR scandal in Station returns to music, local news. Apparently the station owner consulted with local businesses (no doubt all Rethuglican plants) and decided to switch to a new format. The news in question will come from roving man-on-the-street reporter Jeff Grice, formerly with KRKC in King City. The music in question is... Barbara Streisand and Petula Clark. Oddly enough, the AAR angle is barely mentioned. So far we've been unable to contact KTHO for comment.
