Air America Radio is sponsoring Katrina's Wake: the US Government & the Common Good on September 27th at CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Details here.
If any BoreAmericans could attend and report that would be great.
Apparently after having their failed policies exposed to the world, now "liberals" want to try to figure out how to make it look like their failed policies can be the solution to the problems created by their failed policies:
We want to explore how we use the tragedy of Katrina to refocus our vision of how our government serves its citizens. If our challenge is to create a common good, and ensure that all the people are better served, then we must begin seeking solutions that will find the proper balance of how we allocate our tax dollars; and how we create the proper balance among the various levels of government as well as to support the other policies to support this vision.
Now, take a look at the guest list:
Katrina vanden Heuvel (the Nation)
Billy Sothern (Counterpunch; thejusticecenter.org)
Mark Green (Firing Line)
National Priorities Project (I guess a far-leftie org)
ACORN (another far-leftie org)
Let's listen to what they have to say, then do the opposite.

As someone who was working in a major market(San Francisco) as a liberal host long before there was an Air America.....I think it's great that KSAC is truly progressive and ready to move on to other successful liberal voices.. True progressives are supposed to welcome change..yes?
