Did you know that Ed Schultz has a book entitled Straight Talk from the Heartland : Tough Talk, Common Sense, and Hope from a Former Conservative?
Well, yes he does! And, did you know that he also has a radio show on 930 WRVC weekdays from 3-6 p.m.?
And, did you know that after 18 months he's now on 100 stations?
Oh, I'm sorry, I was in "pimp Ed Schultz" mode there for a second. See, I was reading the letter "Talk show host defends attacks against program" that Ed sent to a West Virginia newspaper that published an anti-Ed screed.
Other than self-promotion, there's not much in the letter beyond the fact that he says he doesn't pre-screen his calls...
Except apparently for those coming from his local area. See, he has sycophants in that area, but he also gets "orchestrated hate calls from a small localized segment of the population". While he puts some of those through, he mostly screens them out in order to provide better radio entertainment, which, other than self-promotion, is what it's all about.
Ed also seems to be distancing himself from the nuts in NYC:
Mr. Caserta also made a common mistake by placing the Ed Schultz Show under the Air America umbrella. The Ed Schultz Show is owned by Product First and distributed by the Jones Radio Network. I like and support Al Franken and his crew, but I'm sure we don't march lockstep on all the issues. In fact, I sometimes agree with conservatives. For instance, like Dick Cheney and Antonin Scalia, I like to hunt ducks, the difference being I shoot straight and mine are all in a row.
Further, Ed probably knew nothing about the Gloria Wise loans.
