The article "Programming changes reflected in radio ratings" contains the following sad, sad news:
...Not so successful was the station now known as WLBY (1290-AM, formerly oldies station WHNE), which switched formats to "Air America" liberal talk only to experience a drop in listenership.
OK, so that's not really "news" so much as "expected."
[Rob Walker, director of operations for Clear Channel stations in Ann Arbor] attributed the decline... from a 2.2 to a 0.9 share, to the end of the elections last November. "There's still plenty of people interested in liberal talk," Walker said. "We're working on some things to make that station a little more rounded that I can't talk about yet," he said. "There are some new things coming to that station."
Would those "new things" be named Rush, Sean, and Glenn Beck?
