Air America's WWRC ratings: off the charts!

The fourteenth and final paragraph of this article largely about Howard Stern informs us:

Air America, the liberal talk network carried on WWRC-AM (1260) [out of Rockville MD], went from bad to nonexistent. After WWRC recorded a mere fraction of a rating point in the spring [in the Washington DC market] with syndicated shows from the likes of lefty talkers Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo and Stephanie Miller, Arbitron couldn't detect a measurable listenership for the station this time around.

If you go here and search for that market, this is what the last row - the one with WWRC - looks like:

* * 0.4 *

They can't even register a pulse in the place where Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, and John Conyers spread their "liberalism". Now, that's sad.

Air America falls off charts in Philly (shortly followed by their cancellation)

Air America Radio ratings Spring '05: off the charts!

Oh, and Springfield, MA is up to.

And for today's ratings releases - Cincinnati and Minneapolis-St. Paul are up and Dallas and Denver are down.

You should go to the website for the stations you think AAR's is gaining in and take a look at the program guide. Tell us how many Air America Shows each of those stations carries TODAY compared to one year ago!! Truth is Less AAR = Higher Ratings!! Some of these AAR 'affiliates' only carry springer.

Well, first allow me to congratulate you on not blindly denying the increases like most conservatives would do.

Secondly, if you beleive that "Less AAR = Higher Ratings" the burden of proof is on you. You do the research.

For the record, I don't count staition with 2 or less liberal shows. Here are those stations, if you're curious:
Sarasota-Bradenton, FL - WSRQ-AM 1450 AM
Cleveland, OH - WTAM-AM 1100 AM
Riverside, CA - KCAA-AM 1050 AM
West Palm Beach, FL - WJNO-AM 1290 AM
Brainerd, MN - WWWI-AM 1270 AM

San Francisco - KQKE-AM
Air America in 25th place

Washington DC - WWRC-AM
Air America in 32nd place (last place!)

Philadelphia - WHAT-AM
Air America in 27th place

New York City - WLIB-AM
Air America in 24th place

Los Angeles - KTLK-AM
Air America in 39th place

You're proud AAR is in (or near) last place in every market?

Hey, nice subject change.

I think you meant 30th for Los Angeles.

No one is saying that they are burning up the charts. I'm 'proud' that they're increasing and slowly but surely getting a foothold in talk radio. And I'm proud that the increases are sticking it to the doomsday soothsayers. Other than DC, have Malkin or Maloney bothered to talk about the ratings? No, because they know they're going up. It's as clear as the shit-eating grin on Delay's mugshot.

Per the drive time host for WTAM in Cleveland, which is a news/sports station, without any political leaning (they carry Springer and Limbaugh, their only political shows), "Jerry Springer is killing this station".

Ratings for Springer are now a fraction of what they were for Glenn Beck a year ago.

AAR station in Portland (Oregon) ties with Limbaugh/DrLaura station, ahead of O'Reilly/Savage station and Hannity/Elder station. Developing....

Alex you have great idea! AAR should shut down all their operations and move to Portland. That way they don't have to worry about the .5 they have in markets like Dallas or the 0 in DC. It would easy their cash crunch too (they won't have to steal from orphans and widows then).

Posted by: GregD at October 25, 2005 12:12 PM

They got a 0 in DC? Holy shit, shit are you serious? Where did you get this news? I haven't heard a thing about it. And they "steal from orphans"? Jesus, man, you're just full of late breaking news today!!!! What are you doing on a bullshit site like this? The AP needs you. GO. GO. GO!!!
