Which Air America stations are still broadcasting AAR? (Part 1)

Air America's list of stations is quite entertaining for those of us who follow their various antics. For instance, WDOD in Chattanooga, TN stopped broadcasting AAR in August, but it's still on the list. It would be interesting to see which other stations are in a similar position. Initially I thought about building a Google Maps mashup, perhaps with a Drupal backend that would enable visitors to this site to investigate each station and determine which format they've switched to.

Then, I realized that that would be a lot of work relating to AAR, and I decided to copy and paste instead.

So, here's about the first quarter of their list. Those that have dropped - or are about to drop - AAR are preceded by "OFF!" If you know that one of the other stations has switched, please leave a comment:

The Burl. VT station is actually WTWK 1070 (lic.
to Plattsburg NY). It flipped with WVAA 1390
a few months ago. Sports was put on the fulltime
1390 freq. while AAR was relegated to daytime only
1070. I'm not sure if WDEV in Waterbury/Montpelier VT has ever carried any AAR shows or not...

WPTT in Pittsburgh carries only Thom Hartmann. It does not carry any of the AA lineup. It also carries Laura Ingraham.

WURP in Pittsburgh also carries only one or two AA shows, including the Young Turks. It also carries Gordon Liddy.

WHLD (low power midget) in Buffalo has announced a return to gospel music in January. The egotistical group that rented the station to run AA has run out of money.. One more down the drain.

A 700 pound right winger waddled into WKRP in Toledo and belched out orders: "I'm Fat Tony from the right wing and this station is now back where it belongs, or your brains are on the air."

Cool, hip, collegiate types and young professionals tuned in, shook their heads and wondered what the fat drug addled gasbag was doing on every station in town, followed by Flatop and the Psycho. Drooling Jesus Freaks and 500-700 pound rednecks throughout the area rejoiced that they now had 5 stations to hear what they want instead of one which offers a different point of view.

And sitting back at the blog, the pasty, pudgy, anti-gay activist, draft dodging Young Republican operative tasked to help topple tiny fledgling Air America radio ticked off another libbbberrrral station, smiled, and flounced off to the gay orgy with the other Little Lords Fauntleroy.

Buffalo WHLD 1270 switched to Urban Gosepl full time before Christmas. Randi Rhodes appeared at a poorly attended fund raiser which obviously didn't help. 1270 which billed itself as the "Voice of Reason" never advanced beyond a.6 arbitron rating and was near the bottom of the local stations.

What happened to Air America station 1360 in Cincinnati??? First station 1530 dropped AAR now 1360!
It is a shame that we have had this station taken away from us who are "opened minded souls"!
Would appreciate learning why the station is no longer aired in Cincinnati.

If they were owned by Clear Channel, that company is being sold and they're liquidating some of their stations--in some cases changing formats of the
prog. talkers to something they think will result
in higher ratings. And in some cases stations
are changing to formats like sports in the hope
of higher ratings/higher ad money.

This almost happened in Madison WI but a listener
revolt made Clear Channel change their mind

WMLB (AM 1690) in Atlanta stopped airing all Air America radio shows except for the Al Franken Show, which airs weekdays from noon to 3.
