The latest twist and turn in the Air America saga is that they're going to be bought out and taken out of bankruptcy not by the French family (thank you Drudge and WSJ, no really, thank you), but by New York real estate baron Stephen L. Green. He's the brother of long-time NYC politico Mark Green, who's a frequent guest on the network and an occasional fill-in host. The latter was the NYC public advocate and ran for mayor against Mike Bloomberg in 2001. AAR has confirmed this tentative agreement, but it still needs to be approved by the bankruptcy court.

Does the sucker know that 10 stations have dropped Air America within the last 2 months? Air America continues to list stations that no longer carry them. Mr Green is not aware of the B.S. being spewed by the liars of Air America! Shouldn't somebody warn him.

I doubt it matters, Dan. Green strikes me as a true believer type who will continue to speak truth to power, even if noone is listening.
If you're more concerned with the message than the bottom line, then what's a couple million?

AIR AMERICA'S RATINGS HAVE PEAKED. EVEN IF THEY PLACED 22 ADS ON THE SUPER BOWL, THEIR RATINGS WOULD BARELY BUDGE. POOR MR. GREEN...HE MUST HAVE ALZHEIMERS. THE SLEAZE BAGS AT AIR AMERICA KNOW THEIR RATINGS ARE IN THE TOILET, AND YET,THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN OLD MAN, SO THEY CAN MAKE AN EASY BUCK.

In Middle New Jersey canot get wwrl 1600 on dial clearly. All interference from other stations blocks out sound. When they had WLIB lowqer on list, we were able to pick up the station with less interference. If they don't have an audience, it could be they have lost reception to audience in New Jersey.

Doesn't seem to be much diversity with Air America's ownership. I think I see where a lot of their hostility to Christianity comes from... And I'm an atheist, I don't have a dog in that fight but it is too obvious not to point out.
