Air America exits KQDS 1490 AM (Duluth)

I used to think "Duluth" was just a punchline or something, but apparently it's a real city in "Minnesota", a state somewhere north of Canada. Anyway, they appear to have dropped liberal talk, including not only some Air America shows but Big Ed Schultz as well. They're still listed as an AAR affiliate, but that means nothing. They broadcast with an awesome 1,000 Watts of Big Power, which is no doubt heard all over the local area except when someone is using a microwave oven. They don't even have their own website, leaving a fan to create one for them.

Special note for liberals: their sister TV station is a Fox affiliate, so this move is also apparently part of the conspiracy.

Tomorrow is the big day when ESPN takes over
WAVZ in New Haven. Hey libs! Are you ready for
some football? (Note about WELI, their sister
station: Beck, Rush, Hannity, Ingraham...)

"Thanks to each and every one of you for being such loyal on-air/on-line listeners to the VOICE Progressive Talk Radio 1300 (theVOICE1300.com).
Effective Monday, February 5th, 2007, WAVZ-AM's program format will switch to sports as ESPN Radio 1300 (espnradio1300.com).

"You're also invited to tune in to News/Talk960WELI (960WELI.com) for Local New Haven News, Traffic, Weather, & Sports... plus local information & coverage of events in your community on the News/Talk960WELI Morning Show with Jerry Kristafer, weekdays from 5:30-9 a.m.
Again thank you for your support of the VOICE Progressive Talk Radio 1300."

Greetings from "North of Canada" somewhere.

Duluth, like a lot of these cities where AAR is getting dumped, is a deep blue part of our blue state of Minnesota.

The "iron range" up there incessantly votes Democrat and has voted that way forever.

Not surprisingly, they've never come out of the Carter recession. There have been very few jobs up there for 25 years!

And they never learn.
