Yesterday, "Big Dumb" Ed Schultz barricaded himself inside his studios in Fargo, North Dakota and launched into an extended, multi-hour rant against Air America. You can hear a four-minute version - with "Baby Elephant Walk" disturbingly added - in this MP3. You can hear the whole thing here. You can read more about this here and here. (The last link isn't a permalink because AAR's getting so much traffic that GeoCities doesn't let them have permalinks).
Apparently this goes back to the time that Ed and Sam Seder were alone out on the prairie, and there was only one sheep around. Oh, wait, that's not it, but it does have to do with resource contention. See, as previously discussed, Schultz is moving into Al Franken's old time slot on XM Satellite Radio. Seder wants that time slot to be reserved for AAR's Thom Hartman. There's reportedly even a petition involved, but I couldn't find it.
My goal at this site will be to try to make this situation even worse. Is there some way I could get Stephanie Miller to turn on Ed? Could I get Randi Rhodes to turn on Seder? Could I petition Dennis Kucinich to come up with legislation mandating what appears when on XM? If you have any suggestions on how I could worsen the situation for both Jones Radio and Air America, please leave a comment.
Note from the management: do you know how much time I put into that darn Al Franken video? Please go here and watch it, and send that link or the link in the other post to all your friends.

Hello all. You'll get a kick out of this:
I listened to Fat Head Eddy's whine the other day, and was laughing my ass off the whole time. Odd thing is, Eddy claims his show "is working". Really? I have been tracking how many stations he has listed on his website that carry his show, and here are my results so far:
April 10 2006 = 111 stations
May 19 2006 = 112 stations
June 25 2006 = 108 stations
July 28 2006 = 106 stations
August 26 2006 = 107 stations
September 25 2006 = 107 stations (Oct 13, AAR files Chapter-11)
October 25 2006 = 105 stations
November 26 2006 = 103 stations
December 26 2006 = 101 stations (Moves to 12:00-3:00 format)
January 26 2007 = 101 stations
February 13 2007 = 99 stations
Hmmmm... Seems to me that as AAR is dropped by stations left and right, Eddy is being dragged down along with them. But I could be wrong because Eddy has said many times that Jones Radio Network has nothing to do with AAR. Yea, right....
