Reports are just now coming in about a mutiny aboard the first Air America Radio Cruise (airamericacruise.com). While many people thought that site was just an elaborate hoax, it was an actual cruise featuring famous Air America personalities such as Randi Rhodes and, ... er, well it also featured Cenk Uygur, Jon Elliott, Lionel, Rachel Maddow, Thom Hartmann, Paul Krugman, Richard Greene, and Mark Green.
The foreshadows of doom began to fall when the 53 people who signed up for the cruise realized that others on the ship were... normals. In fact, due to underbooking Holland America Line was forced to run advertisements on the Rush Limbaugh show, offering cabins at a steep discount.
Then, on the night of February 24, while still steaming in international waters towards Cabo San Lucas, Randi Rhodes - who "hadn't eaten all day" - stumbled onto deck and realized that now was her moment to push for the people's revolution. While a feckless Mark Green tried to dissuade her, she soon began a chant demanding verandahs for all passengers, not just those lucky few who'd paid thousands of dollars. When the Captain was unable to meet her demands, she hit him with a nearby bottle of Guiness Stout (which she hadn't been drinking but was just lying nearby for some reason) and seized control of the vessel. They are now reportedly steaming towards either Cuba, Venezuela, or Albania. OK, now you do better.

Via commenter "ncw" (#721), Stephanie Miller has been disappeared from Sirius Left, sources say. Her replacement is Mark Thompson, aka Matsimela Mapfum. His fellow Sirius host Alex Bennett reportedly is accusing those who prefer Miller to Thompson of racism. (Liberals can respond with a charge of sexism.) They've also cut back Ed Schultz' show by one hour.
In other news, I strongly suspect that at least one of XM's remaining hosts is a COINTELPRO mole. Spread the word.

Al Franken has received the endorsement of Council 5 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), a union which profits from a bloated bureaucracy. Says their president:
"Workers nationwide have been ravaged by the Bush–Coleman agenda; our union will work tirelessly with candidate Franken to put an end to that."
Indeed.
In other news, Al Franken is weak on sugarbeets - that industry pumps 2 billion into Minnesota's economy, just between cows and ice - while Norm Coleman is strong.

[19, 238] I hasten to remind everyone that the garden, despite the advanced days in the year, is still looking quite fine. We expect next Spring and Summer to be banner seasons, with not just vegetables such as corn and squash, but honeysuckles, roses, and petunias a-plenty. Do not despair, for the faithful tillers of the soil - including those who burrow far underground to refresh the dormant roots of perennials - are hard at work preparing the ground for the coming year. Though there be snow upon the fields, yet the roots buried deep will soon spring forth and bloom.

Progressives throughout the nation are, at this very moment, thinking to themselves, "If only Hillary Clinton were president right now, she'd seize the assets of Clear Channel and turn them over to the people and make sure that they continued airing Air America Radio on San Diego's KLSD 1360 AM."
Unfortunately for them, Part 2 of the Great Clintonian Revolution has not yet occured, so that station will be switching over to sports radio on Monday. Lee Hamilton will be their lead draw, although they probably won't feature Chargers or Padres games.

Two new polls show that Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman is vulnerable... just not to Al Franken. Rather, Democrats in that state would be wise to throw their support to Mike Ciresi, clearly the only candidate who's a serious challenger to Coleman.
Rasmussen Reports says that Coleman leads 49% to 42% in a head-to-head match-up; by contrast that's 46% to 43% when matched with Ciresi.
Survey USA says it's 46%/45% for Coleman/Franken, but with Ciresi it's at 44% tie.
Clearly, if the Democrats want to beat Coleman, they'd be wise to back Ciresi and not the former comedian.
