Al Franken surges... into tie with Norm Coleman!

A breathless missive has just arrived from the Al Franken campaign:

Dear Friend (ed.: I am not now nor have I ever been a friend of Al Franken),

A quick update from our campaign: Two polls have come out in the last 72 hours showing that the momentum is firmly on our side.

The Star Tribune's Minnesota poll shows Norm Coleman dropping ten points since May - and the race practically in a dead heat.

And Survey USA, which showed Coleman with a 13-point lead in July, now has the race TIED.

Make no mistake - you are making a difference. Your ideas, your energy - and, yes, your generous contributions - have Norm Coleman on the run and Al Franken surging in the polls.

There were links in the email, but I took them out because the only reason I receive spam from Stuart Smalley is because I asked them about Franken supporting giving the U.N. their own standing army. In exchange, they added me to their spam list.
