All power to the washed-up "comedians"/"talk show hosts" was the rallying cry on Capitol Hill yesterday, as Sen. Harry Reid (D-Searchlight) met with the "comic" formally known as Stuart Smalley and was heard to remark (link):
"We're going to try to seat Al Franken... There's no way that Coleman can win this. The numbers aren't there... The race in Minnesota is over..."
In turn, Al said:
"Obama said yesterday that we've got to get to work to address the problems that we have, and that's what we're doing here today... so that when I do get here, I can hit the ground running."
Then, he threw a chair and stalked out.
