Janeane Garofalo is back and has more cute things to say (link):

The reason a person is a conservative republican is because something is wrong with them. Again, that's science – that's neuroscience. You cannot be well adjusted, open-minded, pluralistic, enlightened and be a republican. It's counter-intuitive. And they revel in their anti-intellectualism. They revel in their cruelty.

...I don't know if you heard me talking to Jenny a while ago, but I was saying that first you have to be an a**hole and then comes the conservatism. You gotta be a d*** to cleave onto their ideology...

Good stuff! Especially the pun about a "d***" "cleaving". Say, I'm sure everyone knew this:

"I grew up in a very conservative, religious household. And my father's conservative politics dominated... When I was a little kid, I just took what he said verbatim. I just assumed he was telling me the truth. As I got into junior high and high school, I started feeling that there was something wrong with his vision of the world but I still didn't say anything. But then when I got to college, I would sort of espouse a lot of the right-wing nonsense that he always indoctrinated us into and finally one time, a friend at college looked at me when we were in a group and said, 'You're an asshole.' And I remember being devastated at the time but she was right. I was espousing this, at-the-time Reagan-era, conservative mythology—those fraudulent narratives and that unkind vision of the world that conservatives have.  

...I was just repeating the crap my dad was saying, trying to sound like I knew what I was talking about. That devastating day turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me—even though I was terribly embarrassed and unhappy at the time..."

There's nothing weird going on here at all.
