Forced to choose between her evening Air America Radio show, the Logical Talking 101 class she's taking at the Little Red Schoolhouse, and her matchbook collecting hobby, Rachel Maddow has made the most difficult choice of all: she's dropping the AAR show (link).
But, don't worry! She'll still be on the air. Bits and pieces of her MSNBC show will be repurposed, repackaged, and then extruded into an hour-long morning show featuring scraps from what MSNBC viewers got the night before. Says she:
"I just couldn't keep doing both. It was a quality control issue - the quality of the program and my own quality of life. I need time to, say, eat and sleep, which I understand most people do every day. I wasn't. I needed not to be grabbing food off a cart at 2 in the morning."
But, don't worry, AAR listeners! You're special:
"My relationship with the radio audience is valuable and important... I also believe in what Air America is doing."
She doesn't think of you as expendable, second-class listeners on a barely-listened-to network or anything like that.
