There's about a 99.9944% chance most Air America fans have never heard of Shirley Caesar, Hezekiah Walker, Kirk Franklin or Yolanda Adams before. But, come Sept. 1, those and other gospel artists will be featured on WLIB, New York City's newest 24/7 all gospel all the time station. That station was formerly AAR's flagship, but - among other things - management thinks they stand a better chance with the "Praise and Inspiration" format:
"[Talk radio] is already too crowded," says [Vice president/general manager Deon Levingston]. "With seven or eight stations, it would just be too hard to establish a new one. Look at Air America: Its ratings were lower than our old Caribbean format, and it never got the advertising it needed to make money."

hmmm were the 99.9944% of air maericas
listeners aware that black people are aware of those gospel artists you mentioned?
where the 99.9944% of aar listener's aware that
it was inner city the black owned radio company
that welcomed aar to their studious?
do host aar? were the 99.9944% also informed that without this black station wlib and now the new
black owned station getting in bed with aar
is also blacked owned? did ui 99.9944% percemters know that? It's funny how white liberials will deal with blacks when they need to expliot soomthing they have, so they can use
but not jointly, just for the white liberial.
did also the 99.9944% aar listenr's know
that wlib and wwrl had their owne programming before aar? hmmm I just wondered if you knew that.
black people like to listen to radio also.
and not just rap, but also intellectual
conversation, but to a white liberial
they must define what they see fit as being intellectual. I think it's time aar go on it's own.
and maybe they can make it in nyc the so called liberial capital of the world.
lets see if the 99.9944% can get a station.
I doubt it tho, why? because so far aar can only excist by being on black stations in nyc.
be real liberial if the 99.9944% would also consider the black people also, instead of using our airwaves for their own self agenda.
